As part of the Government Green paper

(Support and Aspiration) the government has outlined a new

approach to special educational needs and disability.

As part of this initiative the government requires all local authorities

in England to set out a Local Offer.

The purpose of the Local Offer is to enable parents and young people to see more clearly what services

are available to them in their area and how to access them.

Scroll through this website to discover all you need to know about the services offered by Pathways School.

Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am happy to be introducing you to our school. I hope our website provides you with the information you need about Pathways School and gives you an insight into the special opportunities and facilities offered at the school. We offer a full range of opportunities for children with Autism and special needs aged 4 to 11.

Choosing a school for your child is very important and cannot be undertaken by only looking at our website and prospectus. Prospective parents/carers and pupils are welcome to visit the school at any time. Please ring the school office to make an appointment. I shall be pleased to show you around our school so that you can see the excellent provision which would be available to your child if you were to make Pathways School your choice. I would also be happy to discuss with you the particular needs of your child.

We believe that education for our pupils includes not only the National Curriculum but just as importantly, life skills and social skills. We concentrate on providing for individual needs so that all of our pupils can be encouraged to achieve their best within a happy, caring and supportive community.

Our proactive behaviour support ethos ensures that all pupils feel supported to manage their behaviour throughout the day.

Whatever their special educational needs, I can assure you that your child will be well looked after by our dedicated and committed staff.

I look forward to welcoming you to our school.
