Welcome to Pathways School
Pathways School is a Wakefield Local Authority special school for children aged 4 - 11. All pupils at Pathways have a Statement of Special Educational Needs. The majority of our pupils have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or a communication and interaction difficulty. All of our children have severe learning difficulties. We aim to teach the children and support families whilst they are at Pathways School with our range of expertise in this area.
In May 2010 Pathways School was inspected by Ofsted. We were thrilled that we received an "Outstanding" overall judgement.
National Autistic Society Autism Accreditation was regained in September 2012. Pathways School has Healthy School Status and gained a bronze Kitemark Award for PE in March 2010.
We welcome volunteers, work experience and university students (subject to CRB clearance) to Pathways. Please contact school for further details. We welcome visits to school so do please contact us if you would like further details.
